George Stowell RIBA Client Adviser and Linewide group lead.
RIBA Stirling Prize winner; RIBA National Award winner; London Building of the Year and RIBA London Award.
The RIBA citation reads:
‘The Elizabeth Line is a tour de force. As a vast infrastructure project, the Elizabeth Line defies most of the current metrics of the RIBA 2030 Climate Challenge. Ultimately, the team created their own benchmarks, which has resulted in this being one of the UK’s most sustainable infrastructure projects’.

The ICE Judges' citation reads:
“The structure is light weight, uses less energy than a conventional air hall and is demountable in 4 days. But what is more impressive is the future opportunity to use this as a low cost solution in communities and for other sports or other uses. The delivery of this interesting and sustainable structure was enabled by a client with vision, a strong project manager and excellent team work by a widely distributed design team”.
